The
Minnesota
Department
of
Human
Rights
will
hold
a
forum,
“The
Rights
Focus
on
…
Making
Accommodations,”
on
Monday,
Oct.
20
from
5:30-7:30
p.m.
in
the
Conference
Center
Ballroom
on
the
campus
of
Southwest
Minnesota
State
University.
The
event
is
sponsored
by
the
Department
of
Human
Rights,
SMSU,
and
the
Marshall
Human
Rights
Commission.
“The
forum
will
focus
on
accommodations
required
in
the
workplace
under
the
Minnesota
Human
Rights
Act,
including
accommodations
for
people
with
disabilities
and
for
religious
practices,”
said
Jeff
Holman,
Communications
Director
for
the
Department
of
Human
Rights.
The
forum
will
include
six
panelists,
who
will
talk
about
their
area
of
expertise
and
how
it
relates
to
the
topic
of
accommodation.
There
will
be
a
question-and-answer
period
at
the
end.
