State Demographer releases 1996 population estimates for Minnesota Communities.

Minnesota State Legislature reduces property tax rates for some property tax classifications. Change may affect Tax Increment Financing Districts created in 1997. Minnesota State Statute 469.1754 to provide $2,000,000 in grants to correct any problems caused by the reduction in property tax rates for Tax Increment Financing Districts.
