'Rethinking Family History' Program Dec. 6 at SMSU

Marshall, Minn. - Joe Amato, professor emeritus of History and Rural and Regional Studies at Southwest Minnesota State University, will be the keynote speaker at the “Rethinking Family History” program on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1-4 p.m. on the campus of SMSU.

Amato's talk will be “Jacob's Well: A Case for Rethinking Family History.” Amato's talk will be in Charter Hall 201.

After his talk, Amato and three others will give concurrent sessions at both 2 and 3 p.m.
Presentations will be given by:

o Jay Fonkert, certified genealogist and president of the Minnesota Genealogical Society, “Introduction to Low Countries Genealogy,” with an emphasis on Dutch and Belgian immigration,
